Arriana Higgins sentenced to 8 to 10½ years in prison for killing Imani Tolbert

Arriana Higgins’ voice shook and cracked as she spoke to the family of the 18-year-old man she shot and killed nearly four years ago.

“To family, I would like to say, I know my words are meaningless right and I understand why, but I’m sorry,” Higgins said on June 27. “To the judge, thank you for listening to my case.”
