Akron Police and DEA Seize Weapons and Drugs in Operation Targeting Violent Crime and Trafficking

Joint efforts between Akron Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) have led to a significant seizure of firearms and narcotics in Akron, as reported on the department’s social media channels. The recent operation, which was carried out with the purpose of quelling violent crime and disrupting drug trafficking, culminated in the recovery of an array of weapons and drugs.

According to the Akron Police Department’s post, the detectives were able to confiscate a 7.62 rifle, a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a braced 9mm pistol, and a .40 caliber pistol.
