‘Walked away like it was nothing’: Suspect shot and killed man trying to stop him from harassing women outside gas station, police say

A suspect in a deadly shooting outside of a gas station in Ohio remains on the run, with police urging anyone with information about him to come forward.

Damario McCall, 41, is accused of shooting and killing 26-year-old Ar’mon Covington on Sunday at about 4:15 a.m. at the BP gas station located at 778 Grant Street in Akron. When law enforcement officers arrived, they found Covington with “multiple” gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Investigators with the Akron Police Department learned that a suspect “had been allegedly harassing women in the parking lot.” When Covington “intervened,” the suspect – later revealed to be McCall – shot him multiple times, police said…
