Medina tornado siren out of service

MEDINA, Ohio (WJW) – The Medina Police Department is warning residents about a tornado siren outage in the area.

According to a Facebook post from the Medina Police Department, the tornado siren located at the corner of North State Road and South Progress Drive on the west side of the City of Medina is currently out of service.

According to the post, an electrical contractor has evaluated the issue and informed the Medina Fire Department that replacement parts will not be available until Monday.

Those who live near this area are asked to make sure they have alternate ways to receive severe weather alerts, including cell phones, NOAA weather radio and local news and weather apps.
