October trial date confirmed for woman charged in toddler’s fatal stabbing outside local Giant Eagle

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A Cuyahoga County judge confirmed Monday that Bionca Ellis, the woman accused of killing a 3-year-old boy in a stabbing outside a local grocery store in June of 2024, will stand trial Oct. 1.

Ellis, 34, of Cleveland, went before a Cuyahoga County judge Monday morning. The judge also set one final pretrial hearing for Sept. 4 at 8:30 a.m. ahead of the October trial date.
