A Springfield Township man was arrested after allegedly threatening a witness in an ongoing case in Aurora.
According to a Facebook post on the Portage County Sheriff’s Office’s page, the Detective Bureau received a request from the Portage County Prosecutor’s Office to help with an ongoing investigation in Aurora.
An Aurora resident had been the victim of several crimes, the post stated, including aggravated burglary, abduction, strangulation and vandalism. A man was arrested in connection with the case, but the suspect was released on bond.
After the suspect’s release, the victim reported receiving “ongoing and threatening communications” from the suspect. “These threats included demands for her not to appear in court, threatening to kill her, and indications that he intended to return to her home,” according to the post…
