Storms, flash flooding possible in Northeast Ohio; heat to follow

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A potentially tense weather pattern is developing across Northeast Ohio this weekend, and residents should watch out for a mix of hazards, the National Weather Service in Cleveland said.

The NWS issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook early Saturday morning, warning of a risk for severe thunderstorms through Saturday night. Damaging winds are the primary concern, but the storms could also bring torrential rainfall, prompting localized flash flooding, according to NWS.
