Ohio Woman Arrested After Missing Boyfriend’s Body Found in River, Bound in Rope and Wrapped in Bed Sheet

An Ohio woman has been indicted and arrested in connection with the death of her boyfriend, whose body was discovered in the Huron River months after he was reported missing.

Dy’Mond Vaden, 32, faces multiple charges including two counts each of murder and felonious assault, along with charges for tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, and possessing a firearm while under disability. The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the indictment was handed down after an investigation linked Vaden to the killing of 32-year-old George Cox Jr.

Cox was reported missing by his family on November 8, 2024, after last being heard from around October 19. When Cleveland police conducted a welfare check at the residence the couple shared near Bosworth Road and Peony Avenue, they found the apartment nearly empty—with what appeared to be blood on the floor.
