Man arrested after Deerfield Township police standoff caused shelter-in-place order

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) – A shelter-in-place order was issued for residents in the Woodfield development area of Deerfield Township on Saturday due to an active police incident, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

The order was lifted after a five-hour standoff ended without any injuries.

Authorities responded to a report of an assault at UC West Chester shortly after midnight, identifying 32-year-old Denzelle Pouncy as the suspect. Pouncy, who resides on Spring Mill Way in Landen, was wanted for strangulation and assault of his girlfriend, which had occurred the prior day…
