Teen shot in the ankle at Akron bus stop

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — An 18-year-old man was shot in the ankle while waiting for a bus.

According to Akron police, shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 27, officers responded to the500 block of Vernon Odom Boulevard for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers said they found an 18-year-old had a gunshot wound to his ankle. The victim told police he was waiting at the bus stop when an unknown suspect started shooting at him.

The victim was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General for treatment…
