‘Just surreal’: Lightning strikes truck with Ohio mom, daughter inside

JACKSON TWP., Ohio (WJW) – Monday evening, strong storms blew through Northeast Ohio, complete with flooding roads, a confirmed tornado in Wayne County and plenty of lightning.

Sarah Henry, of Clinton in Summit County, was heading home with her daughter when she started getting calls about tornado warnings in the area.

“They were saying, ‘There’s a tornado warning, you should stay where you are at,’ but we were so far from home, we thought, ‘It’s going to take a minute to get close to us, so we will just go get somewhere like a gas station,’” Henry said…
