Stark sheriff’s deputy causes crash with motorcycle on U.S. Route 62

NIMISHILLEN TWP. ‒ A Stark County Sheriff’s Office deputy was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way while making a left turn, causing a motorcycle to hit the cruiser at the intersection of U.S. Route 62 and Paris Avenue on Aug. 2.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old man from the Wellsville area, was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with suspected minor injuries, according to the crash report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The deputy was not injured…
