TWINSBURG, Ohio – Karen Clinton was startled when she received a call from someone identifying themselves as Twinsburg Police Department, only to discover it was a dispatcher making a prank call that later led to criminal charges.
Loretta Nash, then a part-time Twinsburg police dispatcher, called Clinton at home, identified herself as “Twinsburg police” and asked if she had Clinton’s attention. Clinton said the call sparked immediate fear and distress.
“Congratulations, you win the prize,” Nash told Clinton, according to a recording of the call. “It is called the booby prize. You are the dumbest person to call the police department on a repeated basis.”…
