Northeast Ohio man sentenced for illegal firearms and drug trafficking violations

An Ohio man has been sentenced to prison after he pleaded guilty to several drug trafficking charges and for illegal possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, according to the Department of Justice.

Officials said Alonzo M. Strickland, 52, of Akron, was sentenced to 120 months in prison (10 years) by U.S. District Judge John R. Adams after he pleaded guilty in April to the following charges as outlined in an indictment filed in February:
