CLEVELAND, Ohio — A geomagnetic storm could spark some impressive auroras in the night sky over parts of the United States overnight Thursday into Friday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The northern lights will be the result of a coronal mass ejection (CME) heading toward Earth, which is a massive burst of plasma and magnetic field that came from the Sun’s corona.
