AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The jury trial for a man accused of fatally shooting an Akron mom in 2024, is underway in Summit County Court of Common Pleas.
Akron Police said Denzel Pope and his sister, Corvette Pope, killed Paige Calich on July 28, 2024.
Calich, 24, was found by officers inside a home on Socrates Place with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Denzel’s trial began Tuesday with jury selection.
