AKRON, Ohio – To mark the kick-off to the new school year, Akron will host the 3rd annual Akron City Festival on Sunday, Aug. 31 from noon to 6 p.m.
The annual event celebrates the city’s future leaders as school gets back in session. The family-friendly event features a parade followed by a festival hosted by Night Lyfe Entertainment, according to a city news release.
“This festival will help us set the tone for our future leaders for their school year and provide some joy and entertainment for parents and kids alike,” Mayor Shammas Malik said in the release. “Join us as we uplift and empower our students to have an amazing year.”…
