Small construction vehicle used to steal ATM in Rootstown

ROOTSTOWN, Ohio (WJW) – It appears someone used a small construction vehicle to steal an ATM early Wednesday morning.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the robbery and said a bobcat was used to yank the ATM from a small building next to Portage Community Bank on Tallmadge Road.

The scene unfolded at about 4 a.m. The ATM was found in the woods behind the bank.

So far, there’s been no word on a suspect.
