(WKBN) – Six people have been charged in federal court in a drug smuggling operation from California to Ohio.
Investigators say that between February 2023 to April 2024, defendants in the Akron and Manfield area took delivery of drugs that were sent via U.S. mail and also hidden in suitcases on commercial airlines.
Methamphetamine and cocaine were discovered to be routinely mailed from locations in Los Angeles and San Diego and shipped to several Ohio cities, including Akron, Barberton, Mansfield, and Columbus…
