MEDINA — On Sunday, around 50 people took part in an Expand Democracy Rally on Medina Square.
The rally was organized by We the People, which has held several “Save Democracy” rallies in the last couple of months. Kristen Lowther, one of the rally organizers, said that while similar to past rallies, Sunday’s event focused on expanding the scope of the event by encouraging attendees to bring a friend to the rally.
“While we are not seeing a lot of newcomers, it’s because there are a lot more people who have been pretty involved in speaking their voices,” she said. “Which is really good. One thing that we keep getting at our rallies is we keep getting new people or people that we haven’t seen before. That’s very encouraging.”…
