CLEVELAND (WJW) – The man accused of leading sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase that ended with a deadly crash in Cleveland has been indicted, according to prosecutors.
On Tuesday, a Cuyahoga County grand jury returned an indictment charging 24-year-old Jaymore L. Whitaker II with involuntary manslaughter, aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, failure to comply, child endangering and OVI.
According to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tried to pull over a vehicle at St. Clair Avenue and East 13th Street at 1:16 a.m. on Sunday.
Investigators said Whitaker, suspected to be under the influence, was driving recklessly without headlights.
