Sobriety checkpoints planned in part of Ohio this weekend

OHIO — Law enforcement officials say drivers can expect multiple OVI sobriety checkpoints this week in Medina, Ashtabula, and Cuyahoga counties.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced it will operate a checkpoint in Medina County on Friday evening. A second checkpoint is planned in Ashtabula County, though the timing has not yet been released. Locations for both will be announced the morning of the checkpoints.

Separately, the Brook Park Police Department said it will conduct an OVI checkpoint Thursday evening, Aug. 28. The exact site will be announced that day…
