Fire causes house roof to collapse in Summit County

SAGAMORE HILLS, Ohio (WJW) – An overnight fire caused the roof of a Summit County home to collapse early Wednesday morning.

Several area fire departments were called to the house in the 7600 block of North Gannett Road in Sagamore Hills at about 2 a.m.

It took crews more than an hour to get the fire under control.

“It does not appear that the homeowner was home at the time of the fire because there were no cars in the driveway,” the Macedonia Fire Department said in a press release Wednesday afternoon.

No one was reported injured in the blaze and an investigation is ongoing into what started the fire. The fire department did not disclose the estimated cost of damages…
