CLEVELAND (WJW) – Thousands of monarch butterflies will soon flutter and fly through Northeast Ohio as part of their annual southern migration tour.
According to Cleveland Metroparks, the best time to observe the mass of migrating monarchs is typically the first three weeks of September, though their migration is heavily affected by weather conditions.
A recent Facebook post from Cleveland Metroparks said the butterflies will be “stopping in many places throughout the park district to roost in the cottonwood trees for shelter,” and to look for updates soon on timing and locations for optimal viewing…
