Sobriety checkpoints planned for parts of Ohio this weekend

OHIO — Drivers in Cuyahoga and Summit counties can expect increased enforcement against impaired driving this weekend as law enforcement agencies plan sobriety checkpoints.

In Parma, the Police Department announced a checkpoint will be held Friday, Sept. 12, in the 5900 block of State Road. The checkpoint will target the southbound lanes and will run from 7 p.m. until midnight.

In Summit County, officials said sobriety checkpoints will also take place across the county beginning Friday evening, Sept. 12, and continuing into the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 13. Specific times and locations have not yet been released…
