The Summit County OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) Task Force will be conducting multiple sobriety checkpoints across Summit County this weekend to ensure road safety and prevent impaired driving.
The checkpoints will take place on Friday, September 19, into the early hours of Saturday, September 20, and again on Saturday evening, September 20, continuing into early Sunday morning, September 21.

Sandusky County
In addition to Summit County’s checkpoints, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) announced that an OVI checkpoint will be set up in Sandusky County this weekend as well. The location of the checkpoint will be revealed the morning of the operation.
Stark County
In Stark County, two checkpoints are planned on Wednesday, September 17.
Olmsted Township
The Olmsted Township Police Department will conduct an OVI checkpoint on Tuesday, September 16.
Cleveland
The Cleveland Division of Police announced Monday that its officers would hold a checkpoint in partnership with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
