Bring on the rain: Showers finally expected in NE Ohio after weekend’s dry start

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Friday and much of Saturday will continue to be dry in Northeast Ohio, but the region can expect scattered showers and even some thunder to arrive Sunday, offering the first significant precipitation in weeks.

Forecasters at the Cleveland office of the National Weather Service say it won’t rain everywhere in Northeast Ohio on Sunday, but scattered rain pockets are expected across the region.

In the meantime, Friday temperatures near the lakeshore will hover in the mid to upper 70s. Further inland, highs will hit the mid to low 80s. Lows on Friday night will be in the mid to upper 50s, but could creep down into the upper 40s in the far northeast corner of the region…
