Summa sale, transition to for-profit hospital happening this week

Health Assurance Transformation Company’s acquisition of Summa Health is scheduled to close on Oct. 1, Summa spokesman Mike Bernstein confirmed via email.

“This marks an important milestone for our organizations, and we are excited about the opportunities it brings for Summa Health and the communities we serve,” Bernstein said. “We look forward to sharing additional details post-close.”
