AKRON, Ohio – Wally Waffle, the alliterative-sounding breakfast joint in Summit County, is marking 50 years in business. But instead of taking time to reminisce about the past, its owners are looking to the future.
For the first time, and after considerable amount of research, owners Josh and Justin Miletti are opening the company to franchising. The brothers own a trio of Wally Waffles, in Akron’s Montrose area and Highland Square neighborhood as well as Tallmadge.
“We feel like we’ve got a good rein on what we’re doing and we’re not expanding because of that,” Josh said. “I think we probably could do one more, but it might cause another level of management to find that person. So we’re content with our three right now, but we are franchising.”…
