CLEVELAND — A man is dead and police are searching for a suspect following a shooting early Saturday morning in Canton.
According to Canton Police Chief John Gabbard, officers were called to an apartment at 2114 Market Ave. N just after 1:30 a.m. Oct. 4 for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Christopher J. Smith unconscious on the living room floor with a gunshot wound to the hip. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, where he died a short time later…
