Akron Children’s opens first pediatric primary care office in Cuyahoga Falls

CUYAHOGA FALLS — Akron Children’s is expanding its reach in Summit County with the opening of its first pediatric primary care location in Cuyahoga Falls Sept. 30. The new practice combines two existing independent Pediatrics of Akron offices — one on the Akron hospital campus and one in Cuyahoga Falls — into a single location “designed to meet the growing needs of local families,” according to a press release.

The new Akron Children’s Pediatrics office, at 1625 Portage Trail, features 20 exam rooms, convenient parking and access to the hospital’s extensive network of pediatric specialists, the release stated.

“Patients who were previously with Pediatrics of Akron will automatically transition to become Akron Children’s Pediatrics patients without needing to transfer records or re-establish care,” said Brad Cunningham, senior director of primary care and school health for Akron Children’s. “We are excited that patients can remain with their trusted providers and confident the enhanced facilities and convenient access to Akron Children’s broader network of specialty providers and services will be an asset to patients.”…
