AKRON, Ohio — Akron’s fourth annual family-friendly Halloween celebration, Downtown Akron Fall Fest, is set for Saturday, Oct. 18 from 4-7 p.m. at Lock 3, Lock 4 and Main Street.
Community members are encouraged to wear costumes to the free event, which is hosted by Downtown Akron Partnership.
Fest highlights include:
- Trick-or-treating stations, including Teal Pumpkin treats for children with allergies (along Main Street)
- A costume contest for kids ages 10 and under, ages 11-17, adults, and pets (Lock 3)
- Pumpkin decorating, crafts and activities (Lock 3)
- Photo opportunities with fictional characters (Lock 3)
- Live music with Wishgarden Music (Lock 3)
- A zombie dance party, led by JustUs Line Dance Crew (Lock 3)
- A kid-friendly spooky train ride (Lock 4)
- Food trucks (Lock 3)
