Motorcyclist apprehended following pursuit by Ohio State Highway Patrol plane

A motorcyclist was taken into custody Wednesday following a pursuit by a State Highway Patrol aircraft through part of Lorain County.

After initially being stopped by State Highway Patrol officers along U.S. Route 20 just before noon on Wednesday, Justin M. Ellis, 39 of Parma, fled on a black Honda sports motorcycle, according to Lt. Ray Santiago, Elyria Post Commander of the State Highway Patrol.

But instead of pursuing the motorcyclist on the ground, Santiago said, State Highway Patrol troopers turned to an eye in the sky — the State Highway Patrol’s plane that was already in the air…
