MetroHealth to close Cleveland Heights psychiatric emergency department, redeploy staff to expand behavioral health services

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The MetroHealth System announced it will close its Psychiatric Emergency Department at the Cleveland Heights Medical Center effective Dec. 31.

As a result of the closure, they plan to redeploy 35 employees to meet growing behavioral health needs across Northeast Ohio.
