CLEVELAND — Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) and Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne held a press conference at the Village of Healing on Wednesday morning to discuss potential health care cuts, which they said could affect tens of thousands of residents in Northeast Ohio.
The officials were joined by local physicians and health care advocates to highlight concerns about recent budget changes and the pending expiration of enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits.
“The Trump administration is creating a healthcare crisis in Northeast Ohio,” said Brown. “Trump’s cuts to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid are a one-two punch that is going to punish everyday people.
