AKRON, Ohio — Akron residents and small businesses who are participants in the city’s natural gas aggregation program will see an increase in cost as a new fixed rate takes effect next month.
The new fixed rate will rise to $4.55/Mcf, which the city says “is slightly higher than the current program rate of $3.81/Mcf,” with the natural gas supplier being IGS Energy.
