Man found with more than 3,500 grams of meth sentenced in Akron

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – A man was sentenced to 11 to 16.5 years in prison in connection with 2023 aggravated drug possession offenses.

According to a press release from the office of Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich, 38-year-old Spencer Hackney was found guilty by a Summit County jury in September on one count of aggravated possession of drugs and was designated a Major Drug Offender.

Judge Joy Malek-Oldfield also found Hackney guilty of one count of having weapons while under disability.
