Parma K-9 Officer Max laid to rest Saturday

PARMA, Ohio (WJW) – The City of Parma Police Department laid to rest K-9 Officer Max during a ceremony on Saturday.

According to a post on the Parma Police Department Facebook page, K-9 Max had a large tumor in his chest cavity, which caused additional medical and mobility complications for him.

Max served the Parman community from August 26, 2016, through May 5, 2025, alongside his handler, Officer J. Campana.

According to Parma police, Max stated with the Campana family when he retired, “where his loyalty, devotion and love continued,” police said…
