SOLON, Ohio — A man who was the passenger in a car stopped by police — but who was not the target of the stop — should not have accepted the kind offer from an officer of a ride to his destination. The man, after all, was in possession of a stolen gun.
At 2 p.m. Oct. 29, an officer on patrol conducted a registration check on a red Chevrolet Equinox as it was traveling south on Cochran Road, near Solon Road.
