AKRON, Ohio — A 37-year-old Akron man wanted in connection with a fatal October shooting has been arrested in Atlanta, the U.S. Marshals Service announced Tuesday.
Travonte D. Griffin was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals-led Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force late Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Ross Road and Stone Mountain Highway in Atlanta. A firearm was recovered during the arrest, authorities said.
Griffin was wanted by the Akron Police Department for the Oct. 15 killing of 31-year-old Damere T. Boddie. According to authorities, at approximately 1:55 p.m., Akron police and EMS responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Mohawk Avenue…
