Nearly 700 grams of meth, crack cocaine found in Ohio traffic stop

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTRF) — Two people were arrested after Washington County deputies seized nearly 700 grams of methamphetamine and more than 10 grams of crack cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 77, authorities said.

Deputy Tucker was monitoring traffic near the 8-mile marker in Muskingum Township around 12:48 p.m. Nov. 11 when he noticed a black SUV with dark window tint, a cracked windshield and an obscured license plate, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Tucker stopped the vehicle near Arends Ridge Road and State Route 821. The driver was identified as Anthony Patrick Kramer, 39, of Barberton, and the passenger as Alisha Marie Wright, 43, of Medina.

Kramer denied a request to search the vehicle, prompting a K-9 sweep, deputies said. K-9 Ozna alerted to the odor of narcotics, and a search revealed a plastic bag containing a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and crack cocaine on the rear floorboard, within reach of both occupants…
