Canton police responding last night to a report of shots fired at a rental hall were greeted by a chaotic scene. Many spent bullet casings were found on the ground, but it’s not believed that anyone was injured.
According to police, officers arriving at the scene at Nazir Grotto Hall Rental on Sixth Street described large crowds both outside and inside.
Multiple shell casings were outside the front door, indicating that at least one person had fired a weapon. Three vehicles in the parking lot were struck by gunfire. A nearby home was also struck, say police, with a bullet going into a living room.
One witness told police they heard at least 30 gunshots…
