Mayor: Working to Get Shower Buses on Canton Streets for Summer 2026

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The next step in a plan to put “shower buses” in areas where the homeless are staying is seeking funding to convert three old donated transit buses from SARTA for that purpose.

The city of Canton is working with the Akron non-profit Forever R Children to get donations to make those bus conversions, and to obtain the labor from local trade unions, with perhaps their apprentices doing the work.
