Teens run to local store for help after 17-year-old shot Friday morning

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – Police said two teenagers ran to a corner store for help after one of them was shot while the two were walking in Akron on Friday morning.

According to police, the shooting took place at about 11:30 a.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of Yeager Way and Russell Avenue for a reportedshooting.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was found in front of a corner store, about a block from the scene. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where police said, he underwent surgery for his injuries…
