(WJW) — A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING continues for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Portage, and Trumbull Counties until 7 p.m. on Friday. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY also continues for northern Ashtabula, Lake, and Summit Counties.

Here’s a look at snowfall reports from Thursday night:

Lake effect snow showers will continue through much of the day across the snowbelt on Friday. Snowfall rates within the heaviest bands could still top 1 inch per hour. The intensity of the snow bands should subside Friday afternoon/evening. The bulk of the snow that falls on Friday will be in the snowbelt, but a few light snow showers could develop outside of the snowbelt as well. Here’s the latest hour-by-hour forecast with Futurecast:

Another 2-4″ plus of snow will fall in the primary snowbelt on Friday where the snow bands persist. Here’s a look at additional snowfall totals through Saturday morning:

Friday is going to be snowy for some, but it will be cold and windy for everyone. Temperatures will only warm into the lower to mid 30s Friday afternoon, but it will not even feel that warm. Gusty west winds sustained at 10 to 20 mph will keep wind chills in the teens and 20s.

The lake effect snow will come to an end Friday night. The wind will also start to lighten up overnight. Temperatures will drop into the 20s areawide.

The first half of Saturday will be will quiet. Unfortunately, the break from the snow will not last very long. Widespread, steady system will start to move into Northeast Ohio after 5 p.m. on Saturday. The snow will lift from southwest to northeast across the area Saturday evening, and it will be snowing just about everywhere Saturday night. Rain will start to mix in with the snow Sunday morning. The widespread precipitation will taper off Sunday afternoon. Lake effect snow showers will develop Sunday evening and continue through Sunday night. The lake effect snow Sunday night will not be nearly as heavy as the lake effect on Thursday. Here’s the latest hour-by-hour forecast with Futurecast:

Snowfall totals Saturday through Sunday night will generally range from 1 to 3 inches. The heaviest snow will stay just west of the area. Some parts of Northwest Ohio, southern Michigan, and northern Indiana could see over a half foot of snow.

Saturday will be another cold day, with highs in the lower to mid 30s.

Sunday will be a little warmer, with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. A wintry mix of rain and snow will impact tailgaters before the Browns game on Sunday. Right now, it looks like the chance of precipitation will go down during the game. Here’s the latest 8 Day Forecast:
