ODOT sending out 250 trucks across NE Ohio during winter storm

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Bracing for bad weather! A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of Northeast Ohio with heavy snowfall expected Tuesday morning between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m.

In preparation for the winter blast, the Ohio Department of Transportation had crews out Monday working hard pretreating roads with brine.

β€œIt just prevents the bond of the snow to the pavement and gives us a running start when the snow does start to fly,” said Brent Kovacs, ODOT District 12 public information officer.

Kovacs said 250 trucks will be out during the duration of the storm across Northeast Ohio with between 60 and 70 plows in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties…
