(WJW) – Thousands of FirstEnergy customers remain without power Thursday afternoon, as some are starting to see electricity restored.
The power company reported the outages shortly after noon.

According to the company’s website, as of 2 p.m., more than 6,000 customers in Summit County were without power (down from an initial 11,000), as well as about 2,000 more in Stark County. There are about 200 without power in Wayne County.
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the outages, which have come as cold temperatures are blanketing the region…
