Snow emergency issued in Summit County

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Snow Emergencies are being issued by several county sheriffs as ice and snow hit Northeast Ohio roads.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office issued a Level 1 snow emergency for the county just after 8 p.m.

“Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow and may be icy. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously,” a Summit County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post said.

The Lorain County sheriff issued a Level 1 snow emergency just after 6 p.m. Wednesday due to “hazardous road conditions caused by ice and snow build up,” a statement from the sheriff’s office said…
