CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) — A 20-year-old woman pleaded not guilty Monday to charges stemming from a deadly hit-and-run that claimed the life of a pedestrian on Cleveland’s west side, court records show.
Amanda Liepold, of Parma, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident, both third-degree felonies.
Liepold is accused of hitting 73-year-old Shirley Brown on Nov. 16 in the EcoVillage section of the city’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood and then fleeing the scene.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, Brown’s body was discovered on the Father Begin Bridge, a pedestrian bridge that spans the railroad tracks at West 65th Street and Madison Avenue…
