Chagrin Falls utility workers rescue Cleveland Water employee from trench

HUNTING VALLEY, Ohio (WJW) — What began as a routine shift for two Chagrin Falls utility operators ended in a dramatic rescue after a Cleveland Division of Water employee became trapped waist-deep in a mud-filled trench.

Donnie Miskinis and Chris Hall were responding to a report of a backed-up sewer on Thursday when they received an emergency call to a scene in Hunting Valley.

“It was one of those things where you wake up, you go to your job every day and you don’t plan on something like this to happen,” Hall said.
